Exhaustion is also a gift - it brings you to the edge of ego grappling for control and allows you to let go ~ ask for grace and then watch miracles occur. I arrived there in miniature (which is all the hints I hope I ever need) yesterday. Fifteen minutes of surrender and the rest of the evening was 180 degree turnaround from several evenings earlier in the week. How stubborn are we that we need to wear ourselves out before we can find our peace? It is sublime when you do though and a great reminder to allow grace to work through you, not by you. :)
